FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
HONXIN helps manufacturers compare abrasive specifications, operating conditions and trial results.
How should I choose RIKEN paper, cloth or belts?
Start with the abrasive form that fits the machine and workpiece shape, then compare the grade, abrasive, backing and grit. The RIKEN brand name alone does not establish suitability.
Can I request a quotation using an existing RIKEN grade?
Provide the full grade designation, grit, dimensions, product form and quantity. When replacing an abrasive, include its label or a photo so we can confirm supply specifications.
Are all RIKEN abrasives suitable for electronics or wafer processing?
No. Precision processing requires the material, finish requirements and process limitations to be confirmed for each grade, followed by trial grinding and quality checks. Do not infer suitability from a general brand description.
How do I compare different RIKEN backings?
Paper and cloth backings can differ in strength, flexibility and suitable equipment. Provide the machine, contact method and dry or wet conditions, then confirm against the grade documentation.
Should I run a new trial when switching to RIKEN?
Compare processing time, abrasive consumption and surface quality using the same workpiece, equipment and processing target. Matching grit alone does not make different grades interchangeable.
What should I prepare for a RIKEN selection enquiry?
Provide the workpiece material, process, machine model, current abrasive and the problem you want to improve. HONXIN can help confirm product and supply specifications.
