FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

HONXIN helps customers compare abrasive specifications and processing conditions.

Do not substitute by brand or dimensions alone. The listed grades use different abrasive grains and constructions. Confirm the workpiece, grinding target and machine conditions.

Specify the required stock removal, current surface marks and final appearance, then compare individual grades. High stock removal and final finishing require different selection criteria.

Provide width by circumference with units, plus the current grade, grit, joint and machine details so conversion specifications can be checked.

Check the manufacturer instructions for each grade. The same brand or a cloth backing does not establish suitability. Coolant use also requires the machine and workpiece conditions to be checked.

Under equivalent process conditions, compare processing time, belt-change frequency, surface quality and the condition of the used abrasive.

Provide the full grade designation, grit, belt dimensions, machine, application and estimated consumption so HONXIN can assess raw-material availability and conversion feasibility.
