C84C Abrasive Cloth

For MDF, HDF and Particleboard Sanding

A rigid backing supports stable belt tracking, surface smoothness and durability. Suitable for segmented belts and conventional wide belts; confirm the machine and joint specification.

Mainly for MDF, HDF and particleboard sanding, as well as CLT and wood. MDF is medium-density fibreboard made from wood or other plant fibres; HDF is high-density fibreboard made by compressing and consolidating wood fibres. Particleboard combines small wood chips with adhesive under heat and pressure. CLT means cross-laminated timber, with bonded layers arranged in alternating grain directions.

A23 Abrasive Cloth

For General Sanding Applications

Shrink wrapping and the arrangement of abrasive faces help limit curling and protect the product from grain loss. The source term “W suppression” requires clarification from the supplier.

For a range of sanding operations. Cloth backing offers greater strength than paper-backed products and can be torn lengthwise and crosswise. This grade is not waterproof.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

HONXIN shares abrasive-selection knowledge to help customers evaluate processing efficiency and surface quality.

Confirm the workpiece material, process, contact method and equipment, then compare abrasive type, cloth backing and grit using the complete grade designation. Avoid choosing by brand or colour alone.

Consider the workpiece contour and support requirements. Conformability and stable cutting have different needs; choose according to the particular model and equipment conditions.

Their dimensions, mounting methods and working structures differ. Conversion into belts also requires evaluation of the raw material, joint and machine conditions.

Do not infer wet-use suitability from the appearance of the cloth backing. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for each model and confirm fluid, workpiece and equipment compatibility.

Compare the complete specification, backing, grit and processing objective, then trial under the same workpiece and equipment conditions. The same grit does not guarantee the same result or service life.

Provide the complete model, product format, dimensions, grit, quantity and application. If the specification is unclear, include photographs of the label or current product.
